The Must-Do Valentine’s Day Bucket List

January 21, 2015

Valentine's Day is almost here, and let's be honest, boys and girls: We are always looking for fun, romantic things to do, right? And, quite simply, that list of To Do's - we'll call it our Honey Let's Do List - can never be long enough.

On that note, let us offer up the following collection of "Bucket List" suggestions, listed by location per our portfolio of RV Resorts, for an unforgettable February 14!

Alderwood RV Express Resort Spokane, WA Come stay with us and soak up eastern Washington's serene landscapes, ample wineries, and immaculate natural beauty. And while you're here, you and your Valentine should try ... • Riding the 100-year old Carousel in Spokane's Riverfront Park. • Taking in the breathtaking Spokane Falls from the seat of the SkyRide suspended cable car. (Fun FYI: This attraction was named, in 2013, "one of the Top 12 Scenic Cable Car Rides in the World" by Condé Nast, Traveller and MSN.)

Moab Valley RV Resorts & Campgrounds Moab, UT Visit us at our trifecta of gorgeous, red rock-framed Moab parks and soak up the majestic beauty of southern Utah, with such activity ideas as ... • Living out your very own cowboy movie fantasy by acting out scenes from over 40-plus films that were shot in Moab. (See which Westerns and other classics called Moab and its surrounding areas "home" here.) • Pack a picnic, take a hike and enjoy the spellbinding vistas served up by the beautiful red rock country of Canyonlands National Park.

Oceanside Beachfront RV Resort Coos Bay, OR Nestled along Oregon's Central Coast (a.k.a. the Adventure Coast), Oceanside offers countless adventures sure to delight romantics of all ages. Try, for instance ... • Strolling along our private beach, exploring the tide pools and soaking up the beauty, sights and sounds of this very special area. • Experiencing the secluded romance of quaint Charleston Harbor, which offers waterfront dining and some of the most stunning scenery in the Pacific Northwest.

Palm Canyon Hotel & RV Resort Borrego Springs, CA Boasting Wild West-themed hotel rooms, vintage Airstream and trailer rentals, and a location just minutes from the unparalleled beauty of Anza-Borrego State Park, Palm Canyon is without doubt the consummate oasis for any desert-traveling romantic. Feeling your inner Lawrence of Arabia? Then seriously consider ... • Lacing up your boots and hiking to the top of Font's Point, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of prehistoric rock formations ... or simply one of the most spectacular sunsets ever. • Meandering through the desert gardens of Anza-Borrego State Park and/or experiencing the huge, fascinatingly unique metal sculptures scattered throughout Galleta Meadows.

Pony Express RV Resort Salt Lake City, UT The Great Salt Lake ... world-class skiing at Park City, Snowbird, and Alta ... a happening restaurant and bar scene ... there's much to like about SLC, and when you stay with us at Pony Express, you'll have a lot of fun discovering why. A Valentine's Day sampler includes ... • Getting snuggly and all turn-of-the-century as you bundle up for a romantic carriage ride through downtown Salt Lake City. • Channeling your best Sherlock Holmes for a real life treasure hunt via Double Key Treasure Hunt Society and immersing yourself and your partner in SLC's rich, and mysterious, history.

Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground Buellton, CA From the vast variety of Central California wineries (and all the wine tasting that goes with that ... you may recall the film Sideways?) to romantic, hand-in-hand strolls along beaches stretching from Santa Barbara to Cambria, romantic fun and frolicking is the name of the game when you come to Flying Flags. Feeling a bit of the lovey-dovey? Then you might want to try ... • Experiencing the Old World romance and charm of nearby Solvang, famous for its homage to all things - from the architecture to cuisine - classically Danish. • Continuing the Solvang and European theme, invite your Valentine out for an Æbleskiver (also called "appleskives"), which are traditional Danish pancakes very similar to donut holes, only sweeter. (Sound dangerous ... but delicious!)

Obviously, the above represents merely the tip of the romance iceberg when it comes to filling out your bucket list for fun Valentine's Day must-do's. Hopefully, however, our suggestions here will add a new chapter to your love story and make February 14 this year one of your most unforgettable getaways ever.
