August 01, 2016
There’s always something going on in Spokane! Here are a few of the ongoing exhibitions happening over the next few months:
Through the end of August, visitors can take advantage of free horse and carriage rides that travel right through downtown Spokane. The meeting place is right across from the rotary fountain and rides are provided on a first come, first served basis. You can learn more about these carriage rides here.
The Bodies Human exhibit at the Mobius Science Center in Spokane will be on display until the end of the year. The Bodies series has been displaying the human body and providing an up-close view of the skeletal, muscular, respiratory, and circulatory systems across the country and it’s now on display in Washington! This exhibit is recommended for anyone 10 years old and up. For more information, click here.
The Blue Door Theatre hosts After Dark, an improvised storytelling event that takes place the first and last Friday of every month from now until the end of November. Recommended for those 16 and up, the show contains some adult humor and language. Visit their website for more information.
The Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture is hosting the Animals In Art exhibition from now until September 4th. The pieces on display span from the 17thcentury to the 20thcentury and feature birds, horses, sheep, cows, bears, and many more members of the animal kingdom. Everything from etchings and engravings to sculptures and watercolors showcase these majestic creatures. You can learn more here.
Between now and the end of 2017, you can visit St. John’s Cathedral via a guided tour on the first, third, and fifth Wednesday of every month.
